HVG Quality Management

Hops and processed hop products are some of the most important ingredients when brewing beer. Hops have always been described as “the soul of beer”. Only by using hops, is it possible to brew typical beer with all of its attractive characteristics.

HVG e.G. introduced a quality management system (QMS) in the year 2000 based on the DIN EN ISO 9000 family of standards. It has been continuously improved and sustained. The HVG e.G. is currently certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2008. We can therefore guarantee that our customers are supplied with top quality hops and hop products. Only then can the soul of beer correctly unfurl.

The HACCP system was also integrated into HVG e.G.’s QMS. We constantly further our continuous improvement process with QMS and HCCP.
HVG e.G.’s QMS covers the quality of the hops from our growers’ hop-yard to our customers’ brewhouse. We therefore guarantee a complete quality process chain.

The continual improvement of our quality management system and the quality of our hops and hop products is the central focus of our daily work. We are only satisfied when our customers are too.
